AGEHI supports policy and social communication and advocacy on gender issues through a broad range of activities. Why AGEHI ?
Gender Watch received a number of letters and e-mails from students and that too from the remote areas of Pakistan. That feed back revealed that a lot of young people are interested in the area of Gender and related themes and in fact most of them are engaged in some sort of research too. However, due to lack of proper guidance and facilities they do not have any access to the research material. SACHET responded to most of the mails and sent the required and relevant material including the videos of Gender-Watch. The 19-episode series of the Program ended in December 2000 but the need of the students and young professionals of Pakistan will remain unfulfilled. That is why we have decided to continue the process of disseminating information through AGEHI. |
