Gender Watch is the brainchild of Dr.Rakhshinda Perveen.
What is the origin of Gender Watch?
Gender Watch is based on Dr.Perveen`s thesis "Men Partners Not Masters-Towards Gender Equity in Family Planning in Pakistan" which she wrote for her Masters Degree in Public Health Degree in Netherlands in 1998.
How many programmes were produced?
19, The series was divided into 2 main phases. The pilot phase which consisted of 6 episodes and the Extension phase which consisted of 13 episodes.
When was the first program aired?
The first episode was aired on 7th October`99 on PTV 1 at 6;40 PM.
How many times the show has been aired?
We do not know the exact number but it is estimated that all 19 programs had been aired not less than 5 times on different channels of PTV.
