Title of Post Program Manager
Reports to Chief Executive Officer through General Manager
Duty Station Head Office, F8 Markaz Islamabad, Pakistan
purpose of the role The Manager (Program) will have the management and oversight responsibility for the program design, planning and implementation for community development programs of SACHET-Pakistan in thematic areas of primary health care including reproductive health and skills development. Ensuring quality program performance aligned with technical and program management standards.
1.       Responsibilities:

 

a)      Strategy and Program Development

i)        Responsible for developing the programmatic strategy of SACHET’s Programs including Health, Poverty Alleviation cum Income Generation, and Advocacy, ensuring that program design and implementation is aligned with the overall objectives of SACHET-Pakistan;

ii)      Contribute to and/or lead on the development of concept papers, budgets and proposals for national and international donor agencies.

b)      People Management

i)        Lead and manage the program staff (including people planning, performance, well-being and development);

ii)      Identify and develop capacity development support to program teams;

iii)    Provide guidance and support and ensure implementation plans, policies and requirements are properly communicated to all program staff.

d)      Program Management and Quality Assurance

i)        Enabling and overseeing effective, efficient and timely implementation of all projects according to agreed budgets, policies and in accordance with specific budget requirements;

ii)      Lead on monthly program performance meetings for all area programs, with support from the Project/Program support Team;

iii)    Ensuring that program implementation plans and budget monitoring tools and plans are up to date;

iv)    Develop and modify/adapt program management tools as needed;

v)      Ensure financial management of programs budget, ensuring budget forecast, reviews;

e)       Representation, external relations and advocacy

i)        Increase the visibility of SACHET’s program in the development sector and maintain close relations with all relevant stakeholders including other international organizations, UN agencies, Donors and others;

ii)      Produce and publish Annual Planner, Progress Report and other communication products (as per need) of SACHET-Pakistan.

2.      Required Qualifications & Experience:

 

i)       BS/Master’s degree in Social Sciences, Public Health or other relevant field.

ii)     At least 5 years’ experience in relevant field.

iii)   At least 4 years’ experience with grants and program management, preferably in health, and/or livelihoods programs.

iv)   Proven leadership skills and a competence in people management.

v)      Experience of coordination with national partners, local/government authorities, NGO partners, UN agencies and other relevant stakeholders.

vi)   Proficiency in English with report writing skills.

vii) Proficient in using digital media.

3.       Contract & 24-month contract, renewable dependent on output and performance.
4.      Salary and benefits Salary and compensation in accordance with SACHET’s Terms of Employment. Upon satisfactory completion of probation period, would be eligible for Contributory Provident Fund, EOBI.
